i made tteokbokki and did a lot of stuff
My day yesterday was very nice, I think in part because I did not check any social media at all except like a minute on Discord, which meant I did a lot of other stuff I actually wanted (or needed) to do (hooray!). It was Mother's Day, but also a Sunday so I slept in and played some PS:T in bed, before getting up and having hot cross buns1 for breakfast.
Nowadays I have Tomodachi Life 2 in front of me while I eat breakfast most days and I continued playing after I finished, making Nappatchi and Konkotchi for two of my Miis. I also planned some other Tamagotchis I would put in like Crayontchi and Sabotenshi as well as who to give them too (because I want to give everyone their own Tamagotchi!).
Then I started making tteokbokki for lunch, which my mum requested a couple of days ago when I asked what she wanted for Mother's Day. I just bought a pre-made sauce as well as all the other ingredients (rice cakes, fish cakes, leek, cabbage, onion) so all I did was chop up everything that needed to be chopped up and dumped them all into a wok. I don't tend to make food for more than one person (ME!) and I wasn't following a recipe so I kind of guessed portions. I also thought I may have put in too much veggies (especially at the start - the wok was very full!) but my mum really liked them and wanted more. The rice cakes were a bit brittle (?) - that may or may not have been my fault... - but it was pretty good overall. I haven't had it in a while so it was nice to do so, and also got to have the leftovers for breakfast today. Yippee!
After sitting down for a bit after lunch (very filling), I decided to do some more reading of The Opium War. I have been reading it forever so I want to finish it soon, but I didn't get much reading done during the week so I read three chapters (with a Tomodachi Life 2 break in between). I also managed to finish it before it got dark so my dad didn't get mad at me for reading in poor lighting (the couch I was sitting on doesn't have a convenient lamp nearby and I like reading there). I went downstairs to stare at my laptop for a bit, but then I remembered I hadn't cleaned the floor for the week yet so I did that.
6pm news next, though I was playing Tomodachi Life 2 so not much I remember. Also I felt kinda cold that afternoon too. Dad cooked dinner (chow fun) so I had that and then watched The Floor while checking out the Wikipedia gacha and thinking for the third time about checking out Dreamwidth. Got back to my computer to read a couple of blog posts about Dreamwidth but I think it's not for me. Also browsed some other cool blogs and then got reminded about my Obsidian digital garden/whatever they're called and thought it would be good to put in blurbs/synopses of the stuff I currently have there while listening to some music2. Looking through all the stuff I have there so far also made me realise it was probably a good time to make note of the status/progress of each page so I compiled a list which should make knowing what to do there next easier!
Played some more Tomodachi Life 2 before getting ready for bed. There, I played more PS:T before falling asleep around 12:30am!
No idea how they're still around, but my mum got them anyways.↩
I made a temporary playlist, here it is: Renegade (We Never Run), Stronger Than You, Eugene, The Only Thing, Sing for Me (Bobby's Ver), Sing for Me, Run Away With Me, Sweater Weather, iPod Touch, Delete, It's You, Giant Woman, Sa Yo Na Ra Summer Holiday, Silver Bullet, and Parachute.↩
