rhoc season 20

ermmmmmmm. this is my first time basically watching everyone (i think?? somehow i think i've seen them before¹). anyways. hmmm. thoughts below (also i don't tend to really care about reunions so! doing this now)

• vicki ehhhh vicki... she really gave me nothing i cannot lie... especially since she's the og of oc i was like okay... 20th season let's see! but she's just miserable, so set in her ways that's it's just like get her off my screen man. and no real charm to it either! i think you could get away with it if you were intriguing or charming or funny but i don't think she has any of that. and i think probably the big thing is that she doesn't even seem to want to be there anyways... (also whatever that was on her trip with shannon, emily, and jenn....)
• tamra that thing with her estranged daughter is so fucked up, i understand her so bad. just shut up about your daughter on tv! is it that hard.... i can only take everyone else's word on it but she does seem less aggressive than previously (whatever that was), but definitely still putting shit out there to start conflict😭 like not even slick at all. also she's not the first hw to make me realise this (i think it was phaedra) and it exposes how bad i am when noticing appearances but it is kinda crazy to see then vs now. also that just reminded me of people referencing her....not very extremely flattering immediate post-surgery look....i'm not that curious (but she does look good now i'll give her that)
• heather i am kinda endeared to her and it doesn't help that she was just able to come out of literally whatever bs was happening about her this season so well...? also do wanna see the heather-carmella alliance develop more, i think they'd be funny (i love that edit of carmella saying she's drinking monster echoing around her as she looks kind of in disbelief) her mum is such a character, kind of reminds me of what i saw of bronwyn's muzzy
• shannon archie..... i think she's soft on vicki but it's understandable in a way because they're close friends. i have no context (i haven't even bothered to look it up) on the tamra fallout and it seems to be serious, but i just don't know. anyways i also heard other things but at least on screen she just seems fine? i feel pretty neutral. maybe get your finances together though...
• gina idk if public opinion has tainted my view of gina, but i just found her kinda annoying with the whole heather real estate drama (like apparently she doesn't even do the area that heather was trying to find an apartment for her son or something so what is the issue!!) i do empathise with her being mad at heather talking about her finances bc i would probably be mad if someone with that much money talked about me like that behind my back while i don't have that much. she's definitely on that new money kind of annoying though.
• emily idk about emily.... like she is kinda entertaining on screen but hm... maybe it's the marriage and what i've heard on the vine. and yeah, maybe we should break the gina duo a bit, even if they're just fighting each other bc i don't think they're the tag team they think they are. apparently she's pretty professional and "ready to deliver"² so at least she's got that going for her though
• jenn i think she's fine generally (actually a bit nice for once for someone to be not really strong in personality haha) but her home life... uhhhh...... i remember seeing someone say that she views all men in her life as providers, even if they're her sons, and hmmmm.. food for thought.
• carmella i was rooting for her bc she seems interesting and bc she went up against vicki (and we are like in the same boat in a way bc we are both new to rhoc) but i wished she went for it more. like ik it's all editing magic but i dearly wished she gave vicki more shit at that last party. everything has an expiry date!!!!!! hope she can get another season and can go on a cast trip there

anyways tbh i do like kinda slow stuff like this (i don't really need explosive drama every week) but i also understand the sentiment other people have of it being boring, just reboot the series, should've brought miami back instead, etc. i don't really have an opinion either way, i guess i will still tune in to watch anyways (to watch the trainwreck?). unfortunately. unless i lose my housewives bug. then i might not lol (but i also wouldn't be tuning in to any of the other series!!).
